“On September 24th I joined tens of thousands of people on the Walk for Reconciliation | Marche de la réconciliation and witnessed the hopeful program that concluded the Walk at Strathcona Park. I spoke in the House about the experience and how struck I was by the way the indigenous speakers approached Reconciliation with us as settlers. These are people whose families have been seriously harmed for generations by colonization and yet time and time again come to the table with a willingness to overcome the past in the spirit of ‘Namwayut — “We are all one”.
