New Democrat MLA Bowinn Ma says new support from the BC NDP government for a tourism project in North Vancouver-Lonsdale will attract visitors, boost the local economy and help the community recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Shipyards is a vibrant tourist destination here in North Vancouver with a rich history,” said Bowinn Ma, MLA for North Vancouver-Lonsdale. “This million-dollar grant will support further improvements at the Shipyards that will create even more opportunities for small business and events that bring people together as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
This funding for the Shipyards is part of a $21.3 million investment from the BC New Democrat government for shovel-ready destination development projects. People in North Vancouver will benefit from this funding, as it will not only support people working in tourism but also help grow the local economy into the future.
