North Vancouver-Lonsdale MLA Bowinn Ma discussed the shock of discovering the plane had been shot down.

“Some community members tell me that it was like their friends had been killed twice,” she said. “We have to acknowledge that this pain is real and there is anger. But for today I want you to look around you and know that you are not alone.”
