The people of North Vancouver inspire me. I’ve met with dozens of people from across the constituency over the last few months and they’ve shown me how much we care about one another. From the community members who chipped in to buy a new bed set for a struggling elder, to the tenants who help their neighbours understand their rights against bad landlords pushing illegal and unfair evictions, and the incredible nonprofit service providers who help our most vulnerable neighbours to access the services and resources they need. The goodness of people amazes me every day.
Often, when community members come into our office to share their experiences or advocate for the people they love they say the same thing: “Don’t worry about me. This already happened to me. We’re here to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.” I’ve been touched by the experience. This beautiful sentiment of selfless service is how I strive to perform as your MLA. Every day I am working with my colleagues to put people first. I believe that we can make a B.C. that works for everyone.
We’re all in this together. I want you to know that I have your back. My office is here to help. Feel free to contact us anytime. We can help you to access services, answer your questions, or help you advocate for the issues that are most important to you.
It’s an honour to represent you in Victoria.
In your service,
MLA, North Vancouver-Lonsdale
